Katherine E. Moore

Katherine was a member of St. Johns UCC Downtown where she was church organist for six years. She was Central Methodist organist for 28 years and United Church of Christ organist for three and one-half years and also St. Marks Church. She accompanied Mater Dei Women’s Choir for years and was a private piano teacher for 65 years.

She was a member of the American Guild of Organists Evansville Chapter (Past Dean 1969), Isis Temple #41, Daughters of the Nile, Purdue Women of Song, County Extension, Director of Vanderburgh Choral Club and The Spirit of Evansville.

Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Leon Moore and sons, Danny L. and Steven R. Moore.

She is survived by two grandsons, Christopher and Jesse L. Moore.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Alexander West Chapel, with entombment at Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
