He was a member of Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Civil War Memorial trust, President of Civil War Round Table, member of Brick layer’s Union for 40 plus years. Keith was the supervisor of the grounds crew at Burdette Park, Organizer of the North Posey Soccer League 27 years ago. Keith enjoyed visiting Civil War Battle Fields, tracing the family tree, his 3 cats and was a racing enthusiast.
Keith is preceded in death by his parents Clayton and Ruth Batteiger.
He is survived by his son, Byron Keith Batteiger (Melissa); granddaughters, Harleigh, Savanna, Ola, and Alyssa; sister, Connie Lovell (Gary); brother, Curtis Batteiger; nephew, Brian Lovell ;special friend, Sherry Thompson; step mother, Sue Reel
A celebration of life gathering will be held 2-6 PM Sunday September 2, 2018 at Shelter # 12 at Burdette Park.
