He attended Central High School and was employed at Hahn, Inc. (the family business), The Toro Company, Hahn Properties and Hahn Equipment Company. In 2003, Kent and his partner Brannon Polk started Hahn Application Products where they manufacture golf course maintenance equipment. They have two patents for a Covered Spray Boom and the Spray Bug Walk Sprayer. Kent was also a part of several other patents for the Toro Company. He was a well known and respected international speaker, trainer and consultant in the Turf Industry. Kent was a sports car enthusiast and enjoyed laughing and spending time with friends and family.
Surviving is his wife, Colleen Hahn; a son, Ryan (Casey) Hahn; stepson, Chase (Jamie) Dunigan and step-daughter Chelsea Jordan; grandchildren, Lilly Hahn, Isaac Jordan, Knox Jordan and Mason Jordan all of Evansville; siblings, Stan (Debbie) Hahn of Evansville, Chris Hahn of Bloomington, IN and Traci (Tim) Dyer of Greendale IN, as well as many loved nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues.
The family would like to thank the amazing IU University staff who took such good care of Kent.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 4, 2019 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road. A private family burial will be Saturday, January 5, 2019.
