He graduated from William Henry Harrison High School in 1970 and worked for over 20 years in management at Kmart. Larry then went to work in the real estate industry for over 20 years, finally retiring from Premier Properties in December 2020. He sat on the National Board of Realtors and was a faithful member of CrossPointe Trinity Church. He was also a member of Reed Lodge #316.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Darol Watson; stepson, Matthew Brown; first wife, Carol (Hartig) Watson; nephew, Matthew J. Minahan; and aunt, Joyce Alice Sloat.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Vera (Sims) Watson; sons, Brian Watson (Kristen) and Jeffrey Watson; grandchildren, Brendan Watson, Carolyn Watson, Juliette Watson, and Killian Watson; mother, Joan Marie Watson; brothers, David Lee Watson and Randall Maurice Watson (Dr. Barbara Koewler); sister, Carla Kaegin (Joe); close uncle, Warren White (Darlene); as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially spoiling his grandchildren.
Friends and family may visit from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Thursday March 31, 2022. Reed Lodge #316 will conduct a Masonic service at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Visitation will also be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Friday April 1, 2022 at Alexander East Chapel with a funeral service immediately following, officiated by Pastor Duane Allison, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
