She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Mt. Vernon. Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Lena and her husband enjoyed traveling and RVing. She was a member of the VFW Post #1114 Women’s Auxiliary and volunteered at Parkview Care Center for over 10 years.
Lena is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ben Hanebutt; daughter, Jan Sharp (Tom); son, John Hanebutt (Judy); four grandchildren, Jessica Winstead (Michael); Cory Sharp (Jennie); Kyle Hanebutt (Carrie); and Ryan Hanebutt (Crystal); five great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 24, 2010, at Alexander Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Paul Seburg with entombment to follow. Friends may visit Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel and Friday from 10:00 AM until service time at the cemetery chapel.
