He retired from the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation after 30 years of service. He enjoyed raising all types of birds and loved traveling to bird shows.
Leo was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Lillian; brothers, Arthur, Clifford and Walter; and sister, Lucille.
He is survived by his daughter, Shirley Harper (Paul) of Evansville; granddaughters, Jodie Buckley (Stan), Julie Nicholson, Kami Heroy and Keli Williams; great-grandchildren, Alexa and Logan Nicholson, Grant Buckley, Summer Barnwell, Jace Heroy and Levi, Parker and Cooper Williams.
Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at Alexander West Chapel, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
