

She retired from the EVSC where she worked for 30 years. Loretta loved the students and her job as a secretary. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Evansville. After retiring, she spent her time volunteering at both St Mary’s Rehabilitation Center and Heritage Hospice. Loretta was proud of her Native American (Cherokee) and German Heritage. She loved all animals, and was especially fond of cats. Loretta always put everyone else first, she never met a stranger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John “Butch” Peerman, Ronald “Moe” Peerman; and infant grandson, Easton Metzger.
Loretta is survived by her husband of 39 years, Joe Lawrence; daughters, Jaci McManus (Charlie), Amy Lawrence; grandchildren, Jon McManus (Whitney), Kelsey Montgomery (Ryan), Brett McManus; great-grandchildren, Brianna, Hunter and MaKenzie McManus, and Carter Montgomery; brother, Jack Peerman; and several nieces.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Chaplain Tom Hubachek with burial in Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit 3-8 PM on Wednesday and 9:00 AM until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to It Takes a Village No-Kill Animal Shelter.
