Marcadene Price

Marcy was a long-time member of Terrace Parke General Baptist Church (now New Life Church), where she faithfully served for many years as a pastor's wife alongside her husband, Rev. Gaylon Price. Together, they ministered for several decades, later continuing their service at Henderson General Baptist Church. Marcy joyfully embraced every part of church life-teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, playing piano, singing in the choir, and supporting countless ministries with a humble and willing heart.

She retired from the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation's administrative offices, where she was known for her dedication and warm spirit. In later years, she volunteered as a "cookie lady" at Good Samaritan Home. Of all her roles, however, Marcy's most cherished was being a devoted Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma.

Marcy was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Gaylon Price; her parents; her brother, Billy Hook; and her sister, Sherry Aday.

She is survived by her two sons, Gary (Trudy) Price and Mark (Linda) Price; her grandchildren, Heather (Curt) Nielsen, Lacey Shepherd, Kristi Price, Michelle (Matt) Seibert, Dan Price, and Joe (Taylor) Price; and ten beloved great-grandchildren.

Marcy's legacy of faith, love, and quiet service will continue to live on in all who knew her.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends and family may visit on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
