Margaret Ethel Drone

Margaret (Mitchell) Drone, Born in Equality, Illinois on May 4, 1922 to George and Mary Mitchell one hundred years ago, passed away on January 28, 2023. Margaret loved doing yard work and tending her flowers. She loved growing her tomato plants in her garden as hard as it was for her to fight trying to keep the squirrels from stealing her tomatoes. She made no secret that the squirrels were not welcomed visitors in her garden. She enjoyed quilting with the ladies at Holy Spirit Church where she was a member. She will be sadly missed by all. Margaret is survived by her two sons, David (Shanna) and Kenny (Debby) and daughter, Marietta Ehrenhaft; brother, Larry Mitchell (Mickey) of Equality, Illinois; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister; brother, husband, Al Drone; and sons, Don and Steven. You did good mom! The family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice and Good Samaritan Home for all they did for her. Funeral Services will be held at Noon on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Alexander East Chapel.
