Marion Evelyn Aggen

She worked as a Head Buyer for the city of Chicago under the late Mayor Richard J. Daley. Marion was an active member of the First Reformed Church of Mt. Greenwood (Illinois), Grace United Methodist Church (Illinois) and Aldersgate United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Marvin, spending time with her family and friends, playing the piano and organ, and playing Bunco and card games. She served as President of Cook County Women’s Republican Organization and was a member of the Sinawik Club of Evansville and Bud ‘n’ Blossom Garden Club.

Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin J. Aggen; sister, Lois Homan; brother, Howard Sharp; and son-in-law, Roger Raetzman.

She is survived by her children, Marjorie Raetzman and Marianne (Ran Baldinger) Landauer; sister, Charlotte Hempenius; grandchildren, Susan (Andy) Hirsch, Sherri Landauer and Laura (Troy) Straeffer; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Adam, Matthew and Ben; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 6, 2016, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 5130 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, IN 47715, followed by a private family burial. Friends may visit Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.
