Marjorie "Marge" (Hundley) Todd

Marjorie Ann (Hundley) Todd, 89, of Evansville, IN passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at Silver Birch of Evansville. She was born on January 15, 1936 in Indianapolis, IN to the late James Cecil and Lueva (Biddle) Hundley.

Marge was a pastor’s wife for 27 years. She dedicated her life to Christ at the age of 14 at Qualls Tabernacle in Indianapolis. At the same age, she became a song evangelist which led her to playing the piano and accordion and singing all over the country. She met her husband, Chester F. Todd through Evangelistic work and married on October 6, 1962. Following marriage, they had their son Chet on May 1, 1971. Marge and her husband pastored many beloved congregations in Indiana and Kentucky. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of Southern Indiana at the age of 60, and became a substitute teacher in Evansville after her husband passed away. She worked for H&R Block and led a grief support group (REACH). Marge was a published author, poet, songwriter, and speaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Jim Hundley; and sisters, Wanda Wilson and Naomi Scruggs.

Marge is survived by her son, Chet W. Todd (Marsha); grandchildren, Nathan C. Todd and Eliana J. Todd; brother, Dr. John Hundley (Lana); along with her nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Ave. Evansville, IN 47714 with Rev. John Fowler Officiating. Friends and family may visit from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
