Dr. Mark F. Morrison, age 75, passed away peacefully in his home in Evansville, IN, on 11/11/2025. Born on 11/22/1949 in Daytona Beach, Florida, Mark led a life marked by service, curiosity, and compassion. He served proudly in the United States Air Force and earned his medical degree from the University of North Dakota Medical School. Thereafter, he entered private practice as an OB/GYN, where he had the privilege to care for his patients with skill and compassion for several decades.
Never one to sit still, Mark was also a serial hobbyist and an entrepreneur with boundless curiosity, creativity and optimism. Whether exploring a new business idea, reading up on a new subject, or learning a new skill, he approached life with a genuine desire to keep growing and discovering.
Outside of work, Mark found peace on the water. An avid fisherman, boater and swimmer, he cherished moments with family in and near the water.
Above all, Mark was a devoted Christian, husband, father and proud grandfather. His faith and family were the heart of his world, and his love, guidance, and humor will continue to inspire his family and friends.
He is survived by loving wife of 41 years, Dr. Patricia Morrison, his children, Rachel Higginbotham, DC (Ralph), Rebecca Lennard (Jeremy), Dr. Paul W. Morrison (Elisa), Kristin T. M. McLaughlin, Esq. (Michael), Dr. John P. Morrison (Emily), Samuel P. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael John Morrison and Maxine Rosamond (Utter) Anderson, half-brother, Michael Morrison, Jr., and beloved grandson, Isaiah Remington Van Hook.
Mark’s legacy of compassion and love will live on in all who knew him.
