Martha Ann Miller Denzer

Martha was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a past member of Medical Mrs. She was a Girl Scout leader and room mother for many years.

Martha was a graduate of Central High School.

She was a long-time member of the Evansville Kennel Club. She was an avid mahjong player and loved her yard and gardening. She was a loyal friend to many and will be missed by those who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. W. O. Denzer, in 1996 and her brother, Charles Miller.

Martha is survived by daughters, Diane (Jerry) Whitsell, Susan (Toby) Shaw, and Gail Southwood; son, William E. (Melanie) Denzer; grandchildren, Jennifer Pressley, Julie Whitsell, Jamie Robb, Kris Southwood, Toby Shaw II, Holly Hartman, Heather Delacoma, Chad Stockfleth, and Zachary Denzer; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Allen Amstutz, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank Dr. Merral Lewis for his care, concern, and compassion during Martha’s illness.
