

She graduated from DePaul University and from Little Company of Mary Nursing School in Chicago. Before working as a nurse, Mary Ann worked as a Flight Attendant for American Airlines. She was a nurse in the Navy during WWII where she met the love of her life, Jim, who was a patient. Mary Ann also worked as a school nurse for EVSC and as an R.N. for all area hospitals before retiring from Deaconess Hospital in 1984. She was a member of the 3 Arts Teachers Organization with the EVSC, and a lifelong member of St. Lucas UCC.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Rausch; son, Tommy Rausch; and sister, Marjorie Matthews.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Andy) Davidson of Evansville; son, Jeff (Phyllis) Rausch of Brownsburg; grandchildren, Nick, Todd, Adam and Nathan; great-grandchildren, Emmett, Usiah, Zachary, Caleb, Liam and Ava.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, February 1, 2016, at St. Lucas UCC, officiated by Dr. Lynn Martin, with burial in Tupman Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel, and Monday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church.
