Mary Margaret O'Neill Gurley

Mary Margaret Gurley, 81, of Evansville, IN passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Superior Care Home in Paducah, KY. She was born October 31, 1934, in Washington, IN to the late Leo “Cabby” and Leona (Necaise) O’Neill.

She attended Holy Rosary Catholic Church, was on the Board of Directors for St. Mary’s Auxiliary, and was very active with Evansville ARC.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Robert Gurley; parents; and son, James N. Elles.

She is survived by her children, William Elles of Memphis, TN, Michael Elles of Des Moines, IA, and Ann (Brian) Morrow of Paducah, KY; grandchildren, Matthew, Patrick, and Audrey Elles and Megan and Kate Morrow; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 12:00 PM Friday, June 17, 2016, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1301 South Green River Road, Evansville, officiated by Fr. Bernie Etienne. Friends may visit Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM, at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, and Friday from 11:00 AM until service time at the church.
