Mary M. McReynolds

Mary “Marcie” McReynolds, 80, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at Linda E. White Hospice Center on Friday, June 23, 2023. She was born March 28, 1943 in Mt. Vernon, IN to the late Fred and Mary (Lester) Thomas.

Marcie spent her earlier years working in the factory industry until shifting her focus on her grandchildren as a full-time grandmother. She enjoyed arts and crafts, card games, especially gin rummy, and dice games. She loved Elvis Presley. Mary had a great personality and enjoyed laughing with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Toy Thomas, Alfred Thomas, John Thomas, Wilford Thomas, Dee Thomas; and sister, Nita Levi.

Marcie is survived by her daughter, Deanna Hinton (Dale); son, Mark Wheeler; grandchildren, Sean Cutsinger, Michael Wheeler, Jessica Wheeler, Angel Wheeler and Mark Wheeler, Jr.; great grandson, Holden; sisters, Dorothy Lovell and Nora Robertson; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Alexander West Chapel, with burial in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from Noon until service time at the funeral home.
