Mary enjoyed sewing, quilting, and spending time with her family.
She attended Calvary Temple, where she participated in many church activities.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; son, Dickie; brother Leonard Simpson; sister, Sarah Clark; brother, R.L. Simpson; and sisters, Martha Wynn, Hilda Kramer, and Lucille Lefler.
She is survived by her son, Robert Rodgers (Martha); grandchildren, Brandi Tyler (Michael) and Robert Rodgers II; great grandchildren, Ryan Rea (Lydia), Mitchell Rea, Alexandra Tyler, Andrew Rodgers, Emily Rodgers, and Hannah Rodgers; great great grandchildren, Ava and Miles Rea; sisters, Nell Harnishfeger, Betty Luttrull, June Luttrull, and Faye Hollingsworth; brothers, Jack and Jim Simpson; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Rev. John Lefler, Jr., with burial in Salem Cemetery in Nortonville, Kentucky. Friends may visit Monday, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
