Mary Ellen Williams

Mary Ellen Williams, 92, of Poole, KY, formerly of Evansville, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013, at her home. She was born September 21, 1920, in Calhoun, KY, to the late James R. Malin and Mary (Rufus) Baughn.

She was a member of Riverside Church of God and retired from Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corporation after 20 years.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Thomas Jackson Williams, Sr.; son, Charles Williams; grandson, Eric Williams; great-grandson, Robert Jackson Meredith; and great-granddaughter, Cloe Faith Meredith.

She is survived by her sons T. J. (Gail) Williams of Evansville, Glenn Dell (Virginia) Williams of Peeltown, TX and John (Jackie) Williams of Evansville; daughters, Susan Williams of Evansville and Janet (Mike) Meredith of Poole, KY; 22 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and other family members, George Engel and Keja Williams.

Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, April 8, 2013, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Phillip Bernard, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 1:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
