

Maurice L. Boultinghouse, 90, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 at his home. He was born on September 9, 1923 in Phillips Township, IL to the late George Lloyd and Mildred Mae (Shaw) Boultinghouse.
He served during WWII in the US Air Force in the 98th Airborne Division as a co-pilot flying the B-17 bomber. Maurice retired from Industrial Contractors after many years. He and his wife, Martha, were charter members of Oakhill Baptist Church. He served in various capacities and was a Deacon. He was part of the Constructors for Christ of the Southern Baptist Association, starting numerous churches in the states and abroad. Maurice enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and kept an immaculate yard. As an Eagle Scout he learned to be prepared, plan, and think of others. He passed these traits on to his family and fellow workers. He was respected and loved by many.
Maurice was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Mackey.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Martha John (Blackburn) Boultinghouse; daughters, Cindy (Mike) Iles, Bonnie (Larry) Beckham, Judy Koons and Penny (Brad) Clark; grandchildren, Steven, Brian, Brent, Katie, Jamie, Amy, Ashley, Jessica and Alyssa; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Rusche and his staff and Dr. Strickland and the VA staff for all their care.
Services will be 10:30 AM Thursday, March 19, 2014 at Oakhill Baptist Church, 4615 Oak Hill Road, officiated by Pastor Alan Scott, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, and Thursday from 9:30 AM until service at the church.
