Melindie M. Curtis-Salmon, 57, of Evansville passed away Thursday September 29, 2022. She was born November 25, 1964 in Rumford, Maine to the late Roger Legere and Sharon Craft-Loudy. She attended the University of Maine and went on to work in sales at Anchor Industries. Mindy was a member of Old North UMC and was involved in several groups including the YMCA, Live-Strong, and Chemo Buddies. She was a sports fanatic, cross country skiing state champion in Maine. Mindy also won the women’s golf league tournament at Clearcrest. She was a raging New Englander and enjoyed painting, planting, reading, sewing, and spending time at the beach. Mindy selflessly devoted her life to her family and being a mom. She dearly loved her family. Mindy was preceded in death by her parents, Roger Legere and Sharon Craft-Loudy. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Bret Salmon of Evansville; sons, Samuel Curtis (Alli) of Indianapolis and Jacob Curtis (Elizabeth) of Evansville; daughters, Tara Salmon of Evansville and Taylor Salmon (Tyler Bliha) of Austin, TX; brother, Tom Legere (Ellen) of Norfolk, VA; stepdad, Gary Loudy of Mt. Vernon; stepmom, Francoise Legere of Palm Harbor, FL; parents in law, James E. and Beverly J. Salmon and her beloved dog, Bogey. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday November 5, 2022 at Alexander North Chapel. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
