Melissa graduated from Reitz High School in 2001, where she played volleyball and basketball with Special Olympics. After graduation, Melissa worked as a line person at ARC Industries Kotter Ave until moving to the ARC Learning Center for many years. Growing up she was actively involved in her church at Vann Ave Baptist. She had many fond memories of attending Vann Avenue under the leadership of Reverend Robert Nall. In her younger years she enjoyed bike riding and sledding down Reitz hill and many trips to the beach with her family!
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Mary Fehr and Joseph and June Masterson; uncle’s Bruce Fehr and Steven Masterson, Danny Hines and cousin, Dacia Pfohl.
Melissa is survived by her parents, Mark and Teresa Fehr, siblings, Ashley Chipps (Matthew) andJordan Fehr (Amanda), nephews, Hudson and Harrison Chipps and Wyatt Fehr; nieces Huxley Chipps , Nora and Atta Fehr; aunts and uncles, Mike and Carol Fehr, Dennis and Scarlett Feldhaus, Terry and Debbie Willis, Gary and Julie Stucki, Don and Angie Wood, Bill and Michelle Fehr, Glyn and Brenda Pfohl, Cynthia Hines, Jeffery and Susan Masterson and many cousins. Melissa loved each and every one of them and always looked forward to seeing them at many family reunions and parties.
The family would like to thank the special care and compassion the Deaconess Hospital ICU nurses have shown to Melissa and her loved ones in her final days.
A Funeral Service will be held at noon on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Alexander Funeral Home North Chapel, 2200 Stringtown Road, with Pastor Glyn Pfohl officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 -12:00 on Wednesday.
