Michael "Gerome" Anderson

Michael Gerome Anderson, 53, of Evansville, passed away Friday, June 19, 2015, at his home. He was born in Thomasville, GA on October 18, 1961, to the late Merrell Frisco and Dorothy Amanda (Summers) Anderson.

He worked at Burger King in USI for ten years and also worked at EARC workshop for many years. He attended Crossroads Rehabilitation and Early Learning. Gerome was a loving brother and a great uncle, known by his nieces and nephews as “Uncle Ronnie”. He had a beautiful smile, was loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.

Gerome was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Martha Dickerson and Catherine Wallace; brother, Merrill Anderson, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Steve Lawson.

He is survived by his sisters, Emma Jean Biggers, Ola Lawson, Helen Anderson, Flora (Jame) Jones, and Dorothy Anderson; brothers, Larry Watkins and Robert L. (Shirley) Anderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 26, 2015, at Memorial Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Adrian Brooks, Sr., with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Friday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church.
