Michael DeCroix

Michael DeCroix, 60, of Evansville, IN passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026. He was born on September 16, 1965 in Springfield, IL to his parents, the late George DeCroix and Lorraine (Parrish) Simpson.

Mike loved riding his motorcycle and hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his daughter and grandchildren. Mike worked at the Farrow Corporation for many years and more recently at Berry Plastics. He was also a truck driver for several years.

He found peace and freedom on two wheels, where the open road wasn't just a place, but a feeling. Though his ride has come to an end, Mike's spirit lives on in every long stretch of highway, every rumbling engine, and every sunset viewed from the road. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever free.

He was preceded in death by his father, George DeCroix and sister, Christine DeCroix.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Taylor Moore; grandchildren, Briley and Eli Moore; mother, Lorraine Simpson; sisters, Georgia Moore and Lisa Shephard (Mark); and nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Rd. Evansville, IN.
