Michael Edward Weir

Michael Edward Weir, 61, of Evansville, IN, went to be with the Lord and joined his late wife, Brenda, parents, sister on Friday, February 9, 2018, at Linda E. White Hospice Center. He was born September 19, 1956, in Chicago Heights, Illinois.

Michael is a member of Grace Baptist Church. He was the owner of Weir’s Cleaning Company, Inc. He attended Reitz High School and later college at Ivy Tech. Michael belonged to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and also belonged to the American Veterans Association. He was a member of the Army National Guard, ESPCA, and he also volunteered at Operation City Beautiful.

He was preceded in death by his late wife, Brenda K. (Cossey) Weir, mother, Ruth Weir, father, Harry William Weir, Sr., and sister, Barbara A. Weir.

Michael is survived by his sister, Brenda Willhide (Darvin); brothers, Billy Weir (Kelly), Tom (Leona), Jon, and Jeff (Marla); sisters, Lisa and Amy (Joe); stepdaughters, Michelle Payne (Rick) and Pam (Jeff); nieces and nephews, Jimmy, Lori, Shelly, William, Dustin, Jeffrey, Mariah, Brittney, and Hannah.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Garry Lanham, with burial in Beech Grove Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. Friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and Thursday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be offered to the American Cancer Society, Vanderburgh Humane Society, or Linda E. White Hospice Center.
