Muriel was born on November 11, 1942, to Cecil Andrew and Virgie Christine (Robinson) Cron.
She was a 1960 graduate of Benjamin Bosse High School and a longtime member of The Salvation Army Lodge Avenue Corps, where she served as both bookkeeper and church pianist. She also worked for many years as a bookkeeper at the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (A.R.C.).
After retirement, Muriel and her husband, Art, fulfilled their dream of moving to Florida and working for Walt Disney World. Muriel continued working at Disney after Art’s passing and remained there for nine years before returning to Evansville to be closer to family.
Muriel learned to play the accordion and piano as a child and later learned to play the dulcimer in her 70s. She had a lifelong passion for learning and creativity, even designing her own website and running an online business in her later years. She enjoyed crafting and often sold her creations at craft shows and through various social media platforms.
She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Lynn (Bill) and Marilyn Sue (Larry); sons, Harley Andrew and Mark Alan (Mary); seven grandchildren; and eleven great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Muriel was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Arthur Lee; an unborn baby in 1963; grandson, Justin Michael McGee; and granddaughter, Ashley Olivia Grove.
