

Nancy A. Long, aged 85, passed away on October 30, 2024, in Vancouver, Washington. Born on June 25, 1939 in Evansville, IN, Nancy lived a fulfilling life marked by devotion to her family and her career.
Nancy spent 20 years as a bank teller in Evansville, followed by 20 years working at Ferro Corporation, also in Evansville. Her work ethic and dedication to her roles were admired by her colleagues and friends. She was a spirited individual who brought joy to many, especially her late husband, James Long. Nancy was known for her Christmas cookies and meatballs, which were highlights at family gatherings. She loved going on cruises with her husband, going out to eat, the occasional trip to the casino, and cherished spending time with her family and friends.
Nancy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Pipp Patton; granddaughter, Megan Pinedale; great-grandson, William; niece Ann Ennis and nephew Matt Jochum.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Charles, and her husband, James.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Fr. Ted Tempel, with entombment to follow in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Vanderburgh Humane Society.
