Paul “Digger” Leroy Wetter, 79, of Mt. Carmel, IL, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born March 29, 1940.
He was an Army veteran and member of VFW Post 4276 of Mt. Carmel. He loved his dog, Jackie Chan, sailing and riding motorcycles. He was a self-employed water well driller.
Paul was preceded in death by parents, Roy Wetter and Mary Frances (Gray) Bertram; step-father, Deb Bertram; brothers, Dick and Steve Bertram, and sister, Frances Bell.
He is survived by children, Michael Wetter of Vero Beach, FL, Rickie Bick (Ronnie) of Carlinville,IL, Bradley Jay Greathouse of Poseyville, IN, Jamie Tolliver (Billy) of Mt Carmel, IL, Robin Tinsley of Elk City, OK, Danielle White (Kevin) of Poseyville, IN, Dara Wetter of Princeton, IN and Tommy Robinson of Danville, IL; grandchildren, Jayson Hall (Brandy), Haley Bick, Ashley Bick, Shadae Bick, Ronnie Bick (Caylin), Travis Tinsley, Trenton Tinsley (Heather), Chris Mangiantini (Jessica), Camrun Blaylock (Mike), Cory Henson (Brittany), Rachel Penner (Quincy), Jacquelyn Bergenzer, Delsie Robinson, Delanie Robinson and Drew Robinson; 27 great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren, Sawyer Mathis and Patience Hall; sister, Connie Peach (Terry); several nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law, Lola Bertram.
Per his wishes, he will be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
