Doug, Brett and Bart,
I know that you all are grieving the loss of your wonderful mom. There are no words to say that can ease your loss. Our mom was a spark of energy, with a beautiful and welcoming smile. No matter the time of day, she always made you feel welcome. It's like she was just waiting for you to show up and join her at the kitchen table or in the basement in front of the TV.

I'll always remember going to Opryland. In October, while on a trip to Nashville, the hotel I stayed in was across the street from where the park used to be. I have a picture somewhere of Phyllis, grandma June and I standing in front of the park. If I come across it, I'll send a copy.

I have so many memories of Phyllis. I am blessed, to have known both Phyllis and Dick. They were very special people and I'm glad they are together again.

With sympathy,

Charlene Volkman

Phyllis and Dick were our neighbors for over 30 years on Logwood Drive when we lived in Evansville and she will be missed. She was a dear dear friend and “always there” when we needed someone to be there for us.

My condolences goes out to the family. I work at Paul's Pharmacy and worked with Phyllis when she would fill in at Paul's. I always enjoyed when she would work. She was a breath of fresh air. She will be missed.
