

She has resided in Evansville since 1931 and spent the last five years of her life surrounded by her friends at River Point Health Campus. She was a seamstress by trade and was the head of the alterations department for DeJong’s Department Store until her retirement.
Reathel was a lifelong member of The Bible Center Cathedral and a member of the Vanderburgh 4-H Extension Home Makers for fifty years. She enjoyed crafts, cooking and gardening. She and John traveled the U.S in their R.V. and told many stories about their great adventures. She doted on her grandchildren and made holidays and birthdays extra special. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Brunner; her daughter, Wilma (Reis) Isaacs; sisters, Mae Massie, Liller Logston, Beulah Giolitto, Hazel Goodman and Bessie Robling; and brothers, Vollie Tanner and Burren Tanner.
Reathel is survived by four grandchildren, Bradley Isaacs, Kristi (Mike) Beard, Blake (Marla) Isaacs and Stacey (Glenn) Johnson; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandsons; and her caregivers, niece, Jean Rickard and nephew, Bob Giolitto.
Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, October 30, 2010, at Alexander East Chapel, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
