

Richard M. Keller, Jr., 72, of Dixon, KY, passed away after a long battle with melanoma on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. He was born August 15, 1953 in Evansville to the late Richard Keller, Sr. and Margaret J. (Bryant) Keller.
He graduated from North High School in 1971. Rick retired from the Teamsters in 2019 after many years as an over-the-road truck driver, during which he made many lasting friendships. He loved spending time in nature, especially in the woods, and later in life he enjoyed gardening. He also enjoyed raising chickens and, with his sister’s help, selling fresh eggs.
Rick is survived by his wife of 35 years, F. Joan (Baxter) Keller; children, Richard W. Keller (Megan Stock), Katie Keller Riney (Tobin), Molly Lovejoy (Sam), John King II (Samantha) and Nathan King (Jena Wright); grandchildren, Allie Keller, Connor McDonald, Andersen Helming, Johnny King, Ryan King, Matthew King, Wyatt King and Kyra King; great granddaughter, Josie King; sisters, Sharon Happe (Bob) and Darlene Flake (Chris); brother, James Keller (Tammy) and nieces, Sarah Flake and Anna Jordan. He will also be deeply missed by his cats, Alice, Souze, Bitsy and Lopez.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois St. in Evansville.
Family and friends may visit on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
