

Rod Paul Martin, 69, completed his Heavenly journey on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital, surrounded by his family and friends. He was the youngest of five children born to the late Nimrod and Farrell Martin. He was born in Evansville, IN on July 22, 1956.
Rod Paul’s teen years were spent growing up in Chander, IN. He attended Chandler Grade School, then on to Castle High School in Paradise, IN. He spent his latter days in Evansville. He spent over seven years in the Indiana National Guard, serving as a Fire Control Sargeant. He found his peace of mind by fishing at Blue Grass with friends and tending gardens that grew his prized tomatoes.
He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Cloe Archer.
Rod Paul is survived by his four children, Michael Paul Martin (Shelby) and Sara Ann Martin both of Boonville, IN, Desiree McKee (Jake) of Sullivan, IN, and Amanda Adkins (Jeffrey) of Rockport, IN; four grandchildren, Lincoln Martin, Brently and Bristol McKee, and Landon Archer; four siblings, John Louis Martin (Jane) of Lyons, IN, Frank Carl Martin (Judy) and Charles L. Martin (Lisa) both of Evansville and Cathy Luanne Martin Cannon of Chandler, IN; his partner of twenty years, Tammy Fraize, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses unit in the Emergency Room, the I.C.U. team who went above and beyond in respect and courtesy, and the preparation and execution of Rod Paul’s Honor Walk presentation for being an Organ Donor.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
