He was a member of the Conservative Society of Friends and devoted to his work for the Lord. He was a US Navy Hospital Corpsman for eight years. He was Chaplain for the Evansville/Vanderburgh County Emergency Management Agency, the Evansville Marine Corps League, the Owensboro Marine Corps League, and the American Association of Navy Hospital Corpsman. He was a life member of the Navy League of the United States.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ruby; and brother, Byron Bacon.
Roger is survived by his sister, Tari Beth Langford; sister-in-law, Jackie Bacon, both of Evansville; and niece, Kathleen (Roger) Bacon Clark of Newburgh.
Services will be 7:00 PM Friday, September 30, 2011, at Alexander East Chapel. Friends may visit Friday from 2:30 PM until service time at the funeral home.
