Rock was a member of St. Philip Catholic Church.
His greatest loves in life were his business, Wildeman Excavating which he owned and operated for 39 years, his garden, the St. Louis Cardinals, and above all his family.
Rock is preceded in death by his father, Henry Wildeman. Let their eternal game of Clabber begin.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Jeanette “Nettie” Wildeman; wife of 14 years, Terry (Hittner) Wildeman; daughter, Lori Nottingham (Scott); son, Jon Wildeman; daughter, Malissa Burgdorf (Brandon); daughter, Brittany Robbins; grandchildren, Nettie and Beau Nottingham, Jack and Avery Wildeman, one more grandson on the way, and Luke and Hadley Burgdorf; brothers, Steve Wildeman (Sue), Danny Wildeman (Vivian), Bud Wildeman (Mary), Chris Wildeman, and Kevin Wildeman (Angie); sisters, Janie Wittman (Jeff), Susie Lutz (Joel), Rainey Jones (Dennis), and Ellie Dausman (Bret); numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Rock’s wishes were to be cremated with no visitation. A Mass celebration honoring Rock’s life will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at St. Philip Catholic Church, with Fr. Ted Tempel officiating.
Contributions may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital, Charlier Hospice Center, and the American Cancer Society. As Rock would say, “work hard, play hard!”
