Papaw, you are and will always be our hero. Did you see my baby, telling stories about you? You were always the one we ran to when we were in need, I wish we had more time to say thank you. My children and grandchildren love you as much as I do. You were the glue that held us all together and kept everyone sane. I don't know how we'll go on without you...but we'll never forget you. I promise to tell the boys our stories and keep you fresh on their minds as they grow. With any luck, the stories we tell will help them grow to be the amazing men you'd want them to be, men like you. I love you so much.

There is a quote said for those in Arlington Cemetary that fits Roy Littrell very well, it goes like this; 

Rest easy, sleep well my brothers,
Know the line has held, your job is done.
Rest easy, sleep well.
Others have taken up where you fell, the line has held

Roy would have been so proud to know  he had so many that loved him so much.Roy will be sadly missed by all.  

Barb, we will always remain faithful in friendship and try to do what Roy would have wanted us to do just as if he were here.

Our thoughts are with you durniing these tring times. I know the love I have as a husband to my wife. I can only imagine the loss. The only thing that could carry me through is prayer if I lost my wife, so I will pray for you and the family.
 I have shared many hunting trips with uncle Roy in Posey County. Roy always took time to show me proper gun saftey ans shooting tips. I also have the memories of fishing on the Ohio with him. 
 We will always have the memories.

I'm sure you know the relationship Roy and I shared, as I said in the card more like brothers I think. There are just not enough words to describe what a loss we all feel right now. I truly will charish the times we had the past two summers with both of you and I hope more with you to come.

Please know that I loved Roy as if he was my father. I have the best thoughs of the times we where together. Roy was a class act, and I feel very good to have had the time with him. He will be missed very much by all that knew him.

Roy was like my 2nd grandpa! Roy and my gpa were best friends and that's how I met him, Barb and the family. I was alot younger when I first met Roy. I remember at times he would say things and I couldn't tell if he was trying to pull a bluff over me or if he was for real. I would study his face to try to figure him out but I just couldn't tell so I would have to turn to my gpa to get to the bottom of it. The next thing that would happen is Roy would be laughing, so again he got me. I have a very special memory that I will always hold in my pocket and hold tight in my heart. The day I shot my first deer, which was a buck, Roy was at my side with me, guiding me and making sure I was safe, and I felt it! I learned alot from Roy, and with that I will continue to grow in my life and feel confident to pass it on to others! I will never forget him, and I will always love him. Everytime I go hunting, I know Roy is sitting right next to me. Roy will never be forgotten. There was never a moment I wanted to pull away from Roy, as I am a teenager, I just look forward to the next time I got to be with him. The corner table at Hardee's will never be the same, and I will never forgot our memories we all shared there!

I met Roy 20 years ago in our local gunshop and our friendship has continued to grow ever since.  Roy has been more of a brother to me than my own brothers.  He and I enjoyed hunting, fishing, the gunshows, shooting, our weekly meeting at the local Hardees Redneck Breakfast Club (of which he was the chairman), taking our wives to dinner, shopping, discussing our military lives, and just being friends.  I cannot say enough good about Roy.  He was dedicated to his family and friends.  He had a gentle heart and loved to be in a good discussion.  Ann and I are gong to miss him, we both loved him dearly.  Semper Fi Marine.  God Bless You.

Roy Lee Littrell,  I only seen him a few times but it was nice to speek to him.He was real nice and on the quiet side. I spoke to him at Anderson's Birthday Party.From the family I have met Roy had a good family. All the family I have been around they have been very nice and the Love they show to each other and to anyone that are close to them. Roy will be missed and now he can watch over all the Loved ones as he is a Guardian Angel watching from the heaven's . I will miss him.
