She graduated from Bosse High School and was a server at area restaurants. Ruby enjoyed traveling to Florida during the winter months. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with her family.
Ruby was preceded in death by her brother, John Purdie.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joseph Hochstetler; son, Joe Hochstetler (Stephanie) of St. Angelo, TX; stepson, Lyle Hochstetler of Orlando, FL, and grandchildren, Amber, Brandon, Bryce, Morgan, Madison and McKinna.
A Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may visit Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
