Russell R. Huffman

Russell was a very talented musician and played in several bands. His passion was music and he loved singing, playing and composing songs for his friends and family.

Russell was proud to serve his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He held respect, honor and determination close to his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents, Dutsel and Minnie Lee Kemp, and George W. and Ida M. Huffman.

Russell is survived by his sister, Roxie Huffman; nieces, Johnna Riger and Roxie Lee Huffman; great niece and nephew, Sydne and Silas Mazikoske; aunt, Japonia Kemp; and many beloved cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Danville VA Honor House for their excellent care and compassion.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois St. Evansville, IN officiated by Pastor Gene Backes. Military honors and burial will follow in Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends and family may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2025, and from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
