Ruth Jane Douthitt, 80, of Evansville, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015, at Deaconess Hospital. She was born March 26, 1934, in Evansville, to the late James and Olga (Heneisen) Peerman.
She had worked for the Daughters of Charity and Methodist Temple Daycare.
Ruth was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Douthitt; brother, Charles Lewis Peerman; and sister, Evelyn Peerman Crane.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Bobbie Douthitt; daughter, Carmen (James) Elam of Wadesville; grandson, Michael Elam; and sister-in-law, Ruth Allender.
