She was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Grogan.
She is survived by her nieces, Betty Uber of Phoenix and Margie Lee Weigart of Oklahoma; nephews, Don and Bob McElhinney; cousin, Mable Snyder; close friend, Virginia Mercer; and caregiver, Alice Serr.
The family wishes to give a special thank you to Vista Care for the continual, loving care they provided Ruth and to Randy, who read scripture and sang to Ruth. They also thank the staff of the Evansville Protestant Home, who for the past seven years has showered their love, patience and concern over Ruth; the family is deeply grateful to them.
Private services will be held at Alexander East Chapel, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery.
