Sarah Lee (Reeves) Bivin, 63, of Ft. Branch, passed away Monday, April 23, 2018 at Linda E. White Hospice House. She was born December 14, 1954 in Owensboro, KY to the late Roger and Nancy (White) Reeves. She was a graduate of Daviess County High School and Owensboro Junior College of Business. Sarah married Charles W. Bivin in 1978. They lived in the Calumet region for four years and moved back to Evansville pending the birth of their only daughter. She enjoyed spending time with her family, of whom her granddaughter was her special ray of sunshine. Cubs baseball, UK and UE basketball and Bible Study Fellowship were her main interests. Most of all she enjoyed time with her friends and church family from Blue Grass Church. She retired from the University of Evansville in 2016 after 18 years of service. Sarah Lee is survived by her husband of 39 years, Charlie Bivin of Ft. Branch; daughter, Jennifer Bivin of Ft. Branch; granddaughter, Jasmine Bivin of Ft. Branch; brother-in-law, Jim Bivin of Evansville; sisters, Pat Scifres (Tom) of Hope Mills, NC and Darlene McCarty of Louisville, KY; brother, John Reeves (Judy) of Ft. Worth, TX, and nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Friends may visit the family on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road. A Celebration of Sarah Lee’s life will be Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 10:30AM at Blue Grass United Methodist Church - Chapel Campus, 14240 Petersburg Road, officiated by Pastor Doug Heiman, with burial in Blue Grass United Methodist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit Saturday from 9:30AM to service time at the church. Sarah requested no flowers or plants please. If you wish to express your love for her, she requested instead memorial gifts that will help those in need.
