

She graduated from Reitz High School in 1964. She worked for 41 years as a Court Reporter for the Vanderburgh County Superior Court, primarily in the Small Claims Division and after retirement worked for the Circuit Court. Sarah was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and a member of the Southwest Evansville Congregation. She and her husband, Gary, collected and sold antiques and postcards. They traveled around to many postcard shows. Sarah was known locally as the “Post Card Lady.” They enjoyed traveling along with their dog ChoCho, and meeting many friends in their postcard dealings. She was a skillful Clabber player and played many years in various Clabber leagues.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents; aunts, Iantha Wilder and Arleta King; and her beloved dogs, ChoCho and Fuzzy.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Gary Cooper; daughter, Candy of Evansville; son, Aaron (Tamara) of Evansville; grandchildren, Jake, A.J., and Aubrey; sister, Beth Bartholome (Doug) of Evansville; brother, Keith Herrenbruck (Nancy) of Evansville; brother-in-law, Ronald (Mary) Cooper; nieces, Stacy Bartholome, Sarah Beth Frazier, Elizabeth Herrenbruck, and Emma Herrenbruck; other nieces and nephews; aunt, Merle DeMoss; beloved dogs, Chacha, L, and Pandy; and special friends, Doris and Karen.
Memorial services will be 3:30 PM Sunday, November 23, 2014, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 610 Eickoff Road.
