Sarah spent 26 years teaching in the EVSC district as a Health and Phys Ed teacher and taught at Fairlawn, Daniel Wertz, and Cynthia Heights. She coached countless 7th and 8th grade basketball, volleyball, gymnastics and track teams, but her love for the game of golf lead her to coaching the Reitz High School golf team for six years. Golf was a life-long passion of Sarah’s. She was known throughout the tristate area for her love of the game, as well as her love to compete. She was a member of the Helfrich Hills and Fendrich Ladies Golf Association where she served as an officer of both clubs for many years. Sarah won many Club Champions throughout her golfing career and helped on many tournament committees. She served on the Courier Committee for the Ladies City Golf Tournament. She was also a member of Simpson’s United Methodist Church where she served and volunteered her time. Those who knew Sarah found her to be a very kind, considerate, loving and optimistic person who knew no strangers. Once she knew your name, you were a friend forever!
