She was a member of the Eagles Club and Harvest Time Temple in Mt. Vernon, IN. She loved music and dancing and enjoyed being in her home.
Shirley was preceded in death by her daughter, Christina Elliott Altom; and brother, Larry Foster.
She is survived by her daughter, Tonia Thompson; grandchildren, Josh A. Welch and Tangi Rene Altom; great-grandchild, Breonna Lynn Davis; and brother, Danny Foster.
Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, August 2, 2014, in the chapel at Good Samaritan Long Term Care, 601 N. Boeke Rd., Evansville, IN.
