Sondra Josephine Davis

Sondra “Sonnie” J. Davis, 82, of Thomasboro, IL, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at her home. She was born on July 12, 1940, in Mansfield, Ohio to Edward and Ruth (Boyle) Davis. Sonnie was a lifelong teacher in the Champaign Urbana School District. She was a member of the Midwest Kennel Club where she served as a steward and held various administrative positions including President and Vice President. She absolutely loved dogs and was involved with many dog shows from Illinois to California. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Davis; and sister, Jerri (Virgil) Shafer. Sonnie is survived by her sisters, Ruth Moser, Patricia Cody and Rose Mary (Jerry) Wilson; brother, Ed (Mary) Davis; sister-in-law, Judy Davis; numerous nieces and nephews, and her three dogs Sadi, Soni, and Tea. There will be no services at Alexander Funeral Home - East Chapel in Evansville, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the Midwest Kennel Club.
