Spencer Leroy Bufkin, 86, of Evansville passed away on September 19, 2025 at the Linda E. White Hospice House. He was born on October 29, 1938 in Evansville to the late Edward “Bucky” and Anna (Reisinger) Bufkin.
Spencer retired as an auto parts salesman where he had owned and operated Vincennes Auto Parts and co-owned Northside Auto Parts in Evansville. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He loved race cars, especially building and working on them.
Spencer was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Bonnie Jean (Rupe) Bufkin in 2024; and grandson, Derek Bufkin; sister, Donna Bufkin, and niece, Staci Halleron.
He is survived by his daughter, Deneen “Dee” Butler; grandchildren, Sabrina Butler and Hunter Butler; and great grandchildren, Elise Erdmier, Rosalie Erdmier, Kyhia Butler and Elodie Pond; brother, Steve Bufkin (Linda); niece, Kristi Senger (Josh); great nephews, Tommy and Andy Senger.
A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Gary Smith. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 p.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
