Stella was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
She had worked at Pine Haven for 27 years. She was a very giving person and loved to help anyone she could.
Stella is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, William Laverne Brown, on October 8, 2005 and great grandson, Brenden Tieken on July 25, 2000.
She is survived by her daughter, Ledra Beasley (Greg); sons, Keith Brown (Emmy), David Brown (Janet) and Dwayne Brown (Arlene); grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike), Jason (Melissa), Kayla, and Stefanie; and 10 great grandchildren.
Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at Alexander West Chapel, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday, from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Vanderburgh Humane Society.
