Stevie was a thoroughbred racing jockey for over 25 years. He continued to work in the horse racing industry until his death.
He was a member of the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission.
Stevie was preceded in death by his parents, Merville and Iona Ray; and brother, Mark Ray.
He is survived by his sister, Donna Myers (Michael); companion, Linda Scott; aunt, Joanne McGhee; several cousins; and many close friends.
Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Alexander East Chapel, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
