Teresa Delano, 88, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Golden Living–Woodlands in Newburgh. She was born on March 31, 1933, in Waverly, Kentucky to the late Joseph and Ruby (Thomas) Pike.
Teresa retired from Woolworth’s. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Teresa never missed watching her favorite program, “Days of Our Lives” and loved Bingo, Nascar, sports, and the Kentucky Derby. She also enjoyed traveling and had visited all 50 states. Teresa especially loved her little dogs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Delano; daughter, Sharon Blackman; brothers, Bobby and Tommy Pike; and sisters, Mary Miller and Catherine Pike.
Teresa is survived by her brother, Ben Pike (Jeanie); niece, Barbara McCaslin; son-in-law, Brock Blackman; four step-sons, Tommy, Tony, Jeff, and Gene Delano; step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 29, 2021 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1301 S. Green River Road, officiated by Rev. Martin Estrada, with burial at St. Peters Catholic Cemetery in Waverly, Kentucky. Friends may visit Thursday, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Alexander East Chapel.
