

Ted retired from Alcoa at the age of 77. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and bowling and had bowled his first sanctioned 300 game at the age of 70. He also enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Ted’s three cats, Callie, Izzy and Snowball provided many hours of comfort and enjoyment to Ted.
Ted was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Gudgel; stepfather, Clarence Gudgel; sister, Laddie Myers; and daughter, Polly Fisher.
Ted is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy; sons, Ken Goans (Karen) and Steve Goans (Becky); daughters, Patty Mueller (Gary), Peggy Bruning (Bob) and Linda Goans; grandchildren, Kelly Litteken, Kate Chambers, Kyle, Matt and Leslie Goans and Christine, Kathleen, and Rachel Mueller; and great grandchild, Braydon Litteken.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Jane Wright who has provided love and care to the family.
Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at Alexander Memorial Park, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, with burial following. Friends and family may visit Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel.
