Thomas "Tom" D. Jones

Tom graduated from F.J. Reitz High School in 1981 where he was on the wrestling and football teams and went to semi-state in wrestling. In his younger days, he modeled for Jan’s Fashions. Tom was a master roofer for most of his career and was an avid Miami Dolphins fan. He enjoyed listening to rock music, playing video games and was the ring leader of the Hatfield cousins, teaching them kill the guy with the ball, King of the Hill and dodgeball; they all looked up to him.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Morris “Buddy” and Jerdie (Hatfield) Jones; sister, Lisa Fluty and nephew, Zachary Tieken.

He is survived by his sister, Amy Baggett (Steve); niece, Megan Baggett; sons, Nickolas Jones and Erick Rager; grandchildren, Lilyana, Landon and Ainsley Rager; soul mate, Ivy Creste; aunt, Mary Murphy; uncle Charlie Jones (Donna); cousins and his beloved pet parakeet, Birdie.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Rd. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.

The family asks that you wear orange and aqua to celebrate Tom’s life.
