

He was of the Protestant Faith and retired from Canteen Service Corp. He was a Marine Veteran serving in China and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of VFW Post #1114.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 63 years, Fay, of Evansville; daughter, Lana Steele of Naples, FL; son, Stephen Thomas Steele of Evansville; grandsons, M. Jay (Jessica) Liberman of Pittsburgh, PA and Jeff Liberman of Las Vegas, NV; great-grandchildren, Irie and Pele; sisters, Ilene Murphy, Laura Schaar, both of Evansville, and Lucille Ferruzzi of Boston, MA; brother, James (Joan) Steele of Cedar Park, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be 12:00 PM Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at Oak Hill Mausoleum, 1400 Virginia Street, officiated by Rev. Dan Gross, with entombment to follow. VFW Post #1114 will perform Military Rites at the cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 11:00 AM until service time at the cemetery.
